Loveless Lies

Loveless Lies

A Poem by Exa Lectric

Spiraling lies; they never end.
Until you're no longer
                              hiding behind them ---
but From them.

That's where I am.
I love her. I love him.
             Equally? Unequally?

Some come and go.
                           Love wasted.
                           Love broken.
                           Love lost.
                           Love forgotten.
All but you.
                           Love lasting through the ages.
Forever? Can we be?
Love --- each-other.

Even apart. We last.

Mary,
I will love you for the
              rest of my life.
I'm sorry my fears keep
              us from being.
I know one day. We will
              be together.
As we are meant to be.

  Just you and me.

I like the uneven lines and spacing, it compliments the short fragments of thoughts. Nicely presented poem!
