Newly Preoccupied.

Newly Preoccupied.

A Poem by Alice Thompson

Her eyes where cast to the side,
While his eyebrows where raised.
A hand moves to her crown,
While surplus sleeve disturbs her hair.

Sitting astride a pillow or an ocean,
Their arms stretch for miles.
The first movements started two days ago,
But their minds are familiar fellows.

Five months in Austria,
Two months in Italy
And the completion of learning,
Add to the eternal headache.

He sighs and she enquires.
Her glazed eyes, arouse in him alarm.
The conundrum hovers a little above their heads.

I really like all the details you put into this, it was extremely easy to get the picture in my mind, and i love the way you can describe even things like movement abstractly, great job I'm looking forward to reading more :-)
