Pathways

A Poem by Alisa Js

his memories, contorted
flowing from some other dimensional realm
fractured and broken in pieces
reflecting what's left along the recesses of his convoluted mind

on a good day
he sees tomorrow
brimming with hope for the future

on most days,
disaster

on most nights,
napalm...

Hi
This piece funnels. It draws the reader in from a relatively vague metaphor to the very specific "napalm". It concentrates the "fractured and broken pieces" into a word picture. I think it also represents a possible reality; with the hinting of bitterweet, or actually sweet moments. Thanks.
