No Rainbow without Rain

No Rainbow without Rain

A Poem by Laz K.
"

It's about two souls complementing each other; "twin flames" if you will.

"

Or, Two Sides of a Coin

Side 1 - Rain

If ever you have seen storm clouds

Rising dark on the horizon, or

Lighting that grows branches

From the sky like an upside down tree

Then you have seen me

If ever you have heard

The faint, low rumble of

Thunder high above

Argue with heaven and itself

Then you have heard me

If ever you have felt raindrops

Fall like meteors

Fall like dead birds

Fall like ripe fruit from a tree

        Then you have felt me

Side 2 " Rainbow

When I look at wildflowers

Grow among weeds

Innocent, delicate and true

I see you

When I listen to songbirds

Compose a soulful melody

Atop a slender bamboo

        I hear you

When I feel the soft, slumbering grass

In the early morning field

And let it cleanse my soul with its dew

I feel you

'I am the rain, you are my rainbow.' What a curiously delicious notion! That speaks volumes and invites more possibilities and thought. For every Side-A there is inevitably a Side-B. The left part of the equation is countered by something congruent in the right. What an excellent way to view human relations! Thanks for sharing. /Frederick.
