have you seen his eye

have you seen his eye

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

inside everything

"

have you seen his eye

slumbering light,
pupil awareness
tears shed over vast plains of suffering
a hint
a sweet nothing showing face
can you remember when the light tickled his eyelids
when tears were joy
he wrote it on a summer morning
he wrote it again
jumbled print showed shine
he told you
said it again
and now you know
light came by way of soul.

Thank you E!

There is a sense in this poem of traveling nowhere to find place. More thinking my friend!

Thank you Laura!

Here's a trick I do to myself. I step outside my relationship with Jackson, my dog, I watch him and I in the amusement of comedy that he brings our relationship. It's simply beautiful!

Al

This brought to mind leaving the hospital with my dad when they gave my mom 5 days to live. His eyes still haunt me. He wanted to end it all. Mom was prayed for by the Wings of Healing in California and lived to torment him 20 more years. Valentine

it's nice that we have eyes at all in life, I feel, I remember seeing the eyes of the man I fell in love for the first time, and I wish I knew him better, I feel so gypped that I was not given the time or opportunity to know him better, yet I have many things in life to be thankful for and I have to figure out what they are
