Who Among Them (adapted from bob dylan)

Who Among Them (adapted from bob dylan)

A Poem by Ruairidh

With your mercury mouth from the changing times,
And your eyes like shades, and your cares in rhymes,
And your silver cross, and your freedom chimes,
Oh, who, do they think, could bury you?
With your legend long protected at last,
And the Visions of Johanna your engine cast,
And your hidden skin, in your flesh-like mask,
Oh, who could they get to carry you?

Bob Dylan poetry book is above me. He was a better Poet than singer. I enjoyed the poem. Left the reader with a lot to think about. Nice flow of thoughts in the poem. I like the question at the end. Good to leave a question for the reader. Make them want some more. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Another classy write here with flowing verse and crisp rhymes. It also prompts thought in the questions it raises in tribute to a master.

Like the rhyming, this poem sounds classical to me. Liked the "flesh-like mask", very creative.
