Chapter 1, Where are we going?

The cold winter air sill managed to penetrate through the car door, even with the heat on blast it did nothing to dim the lingering chill each icy blast left behind. The chilled glass windows had fogged up and my view was hazy and disoriented  but I didn't want to clear off the window because it looked so peaceful, so tranquil. Each little drop of tiny water spread across the surface of the glass and seeped into the cracks on the sides and tops. I couldn't possibly disturb the beauty in action just for a look out of the window. It's not like there was anything to look at anyways, just snow covered pine trees and leafless branches along with a ice covered stretch of never ending patchy pavement with more bumps than not. The sky was a dim depressing gray and the few drops of sun were quickly covered by yet another gray puffy cloud. So like I said, nothing to look at.
