If You Knew

If You Knew

A Poem by Ally

If you knew the pain I've been through

Maybe you would be some-what kinder

Maybe we could even be friends

If you knew the sadness I've felt

Maybe you would understand

Maybe you wouldnt judge me as harshly

If you knew the life I've lived

Maybe you would know why I act this way

Maybe you would have some sympathy

If you knew where I hide my scars

Maybe you would back off on all the rude remarks

Maybe you wouldn't even think of making them

If you knew everything

Maybe being here wouldn't be so hard

Maybe you just still wont care

But you just don't know.

Ain't it the sad truth? Problem is, they won't care. Which is why you avoid them, ignore them, build yourself a tough shell, a thick skin that deflects their poison-tipped arrows. You move on, and become the person you were meant to be.

Remember, God loves you.

Something that sucks about most people, they just dont care about anyone or anything because their to self observed. Another strong message in this piece, makes me picture an empty bus stop, and 1 person waiting for the bus that will never come, slouched forward staring at the ground sad, and thunder somewhere off in the distance. Well done =)

I think this was a great write. I can relate was well. People like that don't care about others and they need to start. I also agree with Kenneth the Geek's review. Thanks for sharing, darling.
