THE MESSAGE

THE MESSAGE

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Down the corridor,
Second on the left
Tea's in the cupboard
Sugars on the shelf.
The cup's on the sink,
Spoons are in the draw
and the milk I think
Is in the fridge door.
So just boil the kettle,
My place is yours
And I'll be home soon
So greet me at the door.
And later by the fire
We'll share some red wine
And naked with desire
We shall remain entwined.

Im sorry I missed this one Andrew. Its reads not like directions to the kitchen to make tea or coffee but rather instructions for a lifetime love to find happiness in your home and by extension in your heart. With a little earthiness added for good measure.
I really liked this one
Good writing A.

'THE MESSAGE'
andrew mitchell,
To have a place of belonging is what all humanity desires.
It seems like an unattainable goal when it is not real.
This poem reminds that love is something to be cherished
and treasured.
Great writing.

I like this it seems so simple at first glance, but more deep and committed when read. I guess that's how life with someone is. It starts out light and easy, then gets deep. And once you find someone who is the right "cup of tea" for you, then life goes by on a happier note. Good write.
