She was a natural!

She was a natural!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

She was a natural
Athlete, you know.
Pretty in white.
She ran like the wind.

Through the streets
Once a year.
Town folk looked on
Tourists cheered.
She was phenomenal.

The hurdles, the hundred metres,
The long jump, cartwheels,
The marathon run.
Just her...... alone.

She had a following,
You know!
Always behind her.

I only wished.....
She'd put some clothes on.

This is one of those rare instances where I feel completely downtrodden by the lack of a picture posted above a poem.
