The golden age of autumn's mythology.

The golden age of autumn's mythology.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I'm turning over
a new leaf,
my shadow defiant
remains the same,
and so I drift
in autumn's fall
looking back
at evergreens
I never was.

Wonderfully visual Andrew. You have me thinking of autumn's leaves in free fall already.

Turning over a new leaf? Isn't that what Adam said?

Exactly! Lol.
i love how sparse this poem is word-wise, but how much imagery it evokes!

Andrew Dear… the Color of your Smile will linger in the Fall as Blue Birds fly to warmer Climes.
The green in your eyes will guide my heart. truly, Pat

Thanks Pat, you are too kind.:)
i don't know that i ever wanted to be ever green.

I think I like the idea of "staying gold" as in the Outsiders and Ponyboy...
