The stealer’s wheel, a skeleton key

The stealer’s wheel, a skeleton key

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Time was no more
a body snatcher
placing death
upon those
who are mortal
by slowly removing
their youth.

I enjoyed this, Andrew. Creative how you started at the end of death, and ended at the beginning of life, with youth. Gives you a real sense of time taking the life right out of you with every second it gives. Cause and effect. Something's always taken when given. Economics calls it "Opportunity Cost". Funny, learned more about life in general than finances in economics. Always a pleasure Andrew. Take care.

Don't mind me. I'm just bitter.
i enjoyed the poem very much andrew. stopped by because of the title, curious if it would be a riff on the old rock bank, but instead found this lovely little ode to mortality

Feeling this much so as my body aches in places otherwise would cause no grief and sore in places where day to day movement is required. Mortal yes, and youth slipping ever more in frighteningly increasing ways and increments. Thanks for sharing.
