The Porcelain DollA Poem by Amanda J. S.This is a very symbolic Poem. The Porcelain Doll Once, I was given a
doll, She was made out of
porcelain, And oh how beautiful
she was. How fragile she was. I went to play with
another kid. She had been given a
porcelain doll, as well. While I openly played
with mine, The other kid held
hers close to her body. She didn’t seem to be
the one for sharing. One day the other kid
asked me, “Can I borrow your
doll?” I told her, “Absolutely!” And oh I hoped she’d
gentle with her, My beloved porcelain doll. Two nights later, The kid came back. In her hand she was
carrying a sack. The kid didn’t seem
to feel a thing. She gave me the sack, Not one stain of pity
on her face. I asked, “where is my doll?” She pointed at the
sack, Turned on her heel, Walked away. Now I was alone. I had no one at all. Not even my beloved porcelain
doll. she was shattered to
pieces. And oh how I hoped I
could fix her. -Amanda © 2012 Amanda J. S.Author's Note
