Melting Ice

Melting Ice

A Poem by ambur

Dripping wet, perspiring ice.

A glass of liquid poured minutes ago,

Abandoned so; the mood shifted suddenly.

She doesn't dare sip it, no,

Not while lies are being told:

The world might fall.

I see this piece just this undoing of everything we absorb daily
Some hold truth
Other are lies
And like ice - it melts into water
Showing its true form

Good job with this poem !!

Mmmm, yes. The sense of immanence, of suspension is wonderful...the condensation waiting to drip, the narrator, waiting to sip Thank you.
