Dead Butterflies

Dead Butterflies

A Poem by ambur

Beautiful eyes, and a handsome smile,
There’s those legendary flies in your stomach--
I have been corrected, those butterflies.

Soft skin, and pleasurable hands,
I think I smiled way too much today--
Is it natural to still be smiling?

Well dressed, and every bit of beautiful,
He asked me why I was so happy--
I am laughing now, but not in his face.

Alluring voice, and heart stopping laugh,
He said I was weird, but it was all right--
I secretly think he is weird, too.

Mind boggling thoughts, and--
We haven’t talked in some time.
I think he might hate me, now

--I killed the butterflies.
