Snow Trapped Soul

Snow Trapped Soul

A Poem by amenimity

Finally cried over that old man
My final and only words 2 him:
"Thank you. I appreciated u letting me borrow your tools"
I didn't even open the door or say goodbye
He wished me safety as I quickly rolled up my
Car window 2 drive n the heavly falling snow

I could see & feel his heart crumbling as I drove away...
Even though he had broken my heart so many times before
I felt no satisfaction by doing the same as he had done 2 me
I cried over that this evening
Several days & quickly moving days after the fact

The time I had seen him before
Reminded me of what I had fallen for
But I felt nothing at all even more
He was trying to reopen that door
But I found someone better to adore

I hope that old man finds happiness, peace and love
Afterall isn't that what we are all looking for?
If not with another than with his own soul
Because when your heart shatters
It can always remold
