Bend or Break

Bend or Break

A Poem by Imperfection
"

This is about flexibility.

"

 The swaying tree thinks –

““Will I survive this cruel storm?”

…Only if it bends.

I love the brevity of this piece and its effective personification of the tree...very atmospheric! Also, the space between lines two and three does well to mimic the movement of the tree bending low and gives the question in line two room to breathe.

three lines. in those three lines you pretty much sum up life and everything in it. that takes talent.

Sometimes it gets a few leaves painfully yanked off in the process....

Odd..but simplistically true. Stay low.. that's how we survive, that's how a tree survives. :) Rain
