Insomnia (Acrostic)

Insomnia (Acrostic)

A Poem by Imperfection
"

Re-written.

"

I lie awake yet again

Not knowing how long this will last

Suffering quietly, in solitude

Outside, the silence of the night, smiles helplessly

My mind is so weary of watchfulness, but

Never a moment's rest inside

Incurable insomnia keeps another victim awake until

Another colorless morning

i hear ya... i have bouts of that too... but thats when different ideas and thoughts pop in and out... so part of me likes the insomnia and the tired part the next morning doesn't... so it's kind of like a love/hate relationship... i like the phrase set ablaze by thoughts

I can so relate... You captured the frustration of this well.
