Writer's Block

Writer's Block

A Poem by Imperfection
"

Acrostic

"

Where have all the words disappeared?

Rummaging through my head, I manage to find

Innumerable alphabets scattered randomly, but

That blank feeling nevertheless looming large

Empty pages still stare back pitifully

Robbed of confidence, I decide to give up;

Suddenly a few alphabets align

Before I have a chance to read what they've formed, the
Letters exchange places swiftly, and

Oh my goodness, what do I see?

Clever letters –all of them, have
Knitted themselves to mock me.

Oh haven't we all been here! First stanza, fantastic! Few things in the second that I noticed:

Before I have a chance to read what theyve formed, the
Letters exchange places swiftly

I think you could drop the "the" at the end of the first line. It isn't really needed meaning-wise and it helps the flow when it is gone.

Clever letters all of them, have
Knitted themselves to mock at me.

The "at" isn't needed here either and, upon reading, flows nicer without it being there.

Nice job.

I thought that was pretty clever, Caffeine. As a last resort for "writer's block" you can always write about not having anything to write about. :) I don't get writer's block, because I don't really consider myself a writer. For me, because 99% of what I write is from personal experience, it doesn't seem I would ever run out of things to write. True writer's I can see drawing a blank. I feel like Seinfeld. I write about nothing. For having a thought wall, you wrote a great piece. Rain

I wrote a poem called Writer's Block.
Honestly,
I hate the way it makes me feel.
This is wonderful.
Very to the point,
but also very meaningful.
You have a wonderful talent for writing.
Keep it up,
and I'll keep reading.

After a year of writer's block, I can definitely relate to this poem! The ending is fantastic, so true and comical.

I noticed your punctuation at the end of the lines could use some work. For instance, the last sentence of the 1st stanza has no end mark at all yet it completes an entire stanza.
"Suddenly a few alphabets align"

A quick edit will correct these issues. Good write!
