Something I wrote after a break up from an abusive man.

Open your eyes. 

The monster is gone.

He can no longer harm you.

Open your eyes, see something new.. this beautiful world staring back at you.

Open up your mind and find peace. 

Open up that beautiful heart and love with all you have. Love like you've never been hurt.

I know that's hard, love, but you are so much more than how he made you feel. You are so much more than what he told you, you were. You are safe now... You no longer have to face someone who couldn't care about you or love you. Its all okay now. You no longer have to hide. So dry your eyes, smile... everything is okay now.
