Abandoned

Abandoned

A Poem by Amy

She wakes up and opens her eyes
They feel so heavy from where she'd cried
Looking around she knows shes alone
Lately he seems to be anywhere but home
She loves him so much he will never understand
She'd do anything at that moment just to hold his hand
Seems she was put here just to wait
What she wants may come too late
She often thinks about coming to an end
She's felt too often her heart had to mend
Too much more it cannot take
She dreams of floating at the bottom of a lake
She swallows the pills with a shot of booze
She has nothing else to loose
She closes her eyes giving up on life
She hopes its better in the afterlife
