The Mask

The Mask

A Poem by Amy

I wear a mask everyday
for the rest of my life it will stay
the mask is made of giggles and grins
but underneath I just want it to end

I wear a mask everyday
if they knew the true me what would they say
would they run, scream, or hide
would anyone still be by my side

I wear a mask every day
to hide the hurt suffering and pain
no-one truly understands
I'm holding on by a strand

I wear a mask every day
and with my life I will pay
it will all come to an end
living with this pain should be a sin

I wear a mask every day
when I die I'll give it away
because these words they will read
then they will see the true me

That was really good, it has so much emotion and I couod feel the sadness that the poem holds.
