uprooted

uprooted

A Poem by Jo Schmo

standing in a field as a child felt like magic

i was just a blade of grass, surrounded by infinite green

my small size did not influence my indestructibility.

and even though now i’m a towering tree

i'm drowning in the abundance of my surroundings,

and the lightest of breezes has enough strength to uproot me
