Creation

If we'd had the opportunity 

to paint together in the past

whatever we would have produced 

with the frayed bristles 

of our brushes would have 

reflected both our flaws

I am no longer capable 

of creating but if your heart 

is set and your happiness 

depends on such a collaboration 

I'm certain there is another

amenable artist somewhere 

you should seek out

instead of wasting your time 

in this sterile studio as all 

the pigments have dried up
