Blue

an ode to the color blue

Orion's Blue Lady,

Blue is the color that runs through my soul. 

It is a river running long and true.

An ocean mysterious and deep.

No one truly knows what it holds.

Blue is always my favorite color.

Whether I am happy or sad.

Blue is the color of my soul.

It understands me, 

and I understand it's depths.

It captivates my gaze.

It all but makes my heart stop.

The red flames burn hot, but not as hot as blue flames.

Blue is the color of true seduction.

Blue is my favorite color, and I think it always will be. It’s haunting, but can be so many shades. I love the way you captured the color here, and if you could describe a color this poem could work. It’s just so detailed and wonderfully written. And I love how touched on the more fiery side of blue- people tend to forget blue fire is the hottest. Blue is such a deep color, and thank you so much for sharing this beautiful piece!

I think of all of the colors, blue is the most calming and alluring though personally I lean towards green but...you can't make green without blue. : ) Nicely done, I like how this felt to read.
