The Mirror (The Master Of All Those Who Know)

The Mirror (The Master Of All Those Who Know)

A Poem by light and ashes

What is this thing I see here in this mirror?
Is it a girl? Is it something different?
A beast maybe?
Who is she? I can not bring her face into the fore-most point of my memory.

Is she someone that I used to know? Is she familiar?
Maybe she is a Shape-shifter?
A soul recycled in time?
Maybe she is one of The Ancient Ones from long ago?

A mirror is the only thing with which we cab see our own image ... the human heart is the only thing that can see beneath a mirrored image.

I like this one Light.

Thank you, Neville, I'm glad you appreciated it.
Whoa! And here the gods whispered "Mona Lisa" into your hands when then you penned this quandary. We are the ashes of our intangibles. This one asks what cannot be seen within the surface, still, it seeks what can't be known in our existence. The Jungian reflection. The birth of awareness and Being, grasping between the mirror and glass, The Shadow rising from reflection to the hardening mask, asking to be freed from all this knowing. Remarkable depth here. I felt lost in this offering...Perfect!!

Or maybe it is a reflection of things that will come to be like springtime and a full moon, a lily pad on a still pond or a solar eclipse over a desert landscape. Or perhaps even the beauty that surrounds us that we never see. This was haunting and enchanting

Really Excellent light and what an interesting photo - with shades of Ophelia from Hamlet. 'There are more questions than answers'. ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

I did enjoy the poetry my friend.

I loved the above lines. I always wanted to be a shape-shifter. Maybe a hawk on day, maybe a wolf, another. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

very intriguing LA. series of deeply probing questions without answers, thereby requiring the reader to go inside themselves to pose the questions internally and then provide their own answers. very much an enjoyable process
