Melancholy Poppies

Melancholy Poppies

A Poem by light and ashes

I walk through a field of melancholy poppies,
with my big anime eyes,
and hair as white as a crystal Moon.

Winter's third child,
I was an Arctic timber wolf in my previous life.

I am a hidden refuge of the Forest.

I have awaited thousands of years to be re-born,
and on this night,
in a field of poppies.

For some reason this made me think of a movie called Valhalla Rising. I'm not sure why exactly. You should watch it and tell me why.

Ooh I love this light - a Woman and a Date with Destiny. Did you know the whole ethos of Poppies to remember the World Wars originates from a WW1 Poem by Bristol UK Poet Isaac Rosenberg ? ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

No, I did not. Thank you for the review.
A wonderful poem my dear friend. Years ago when I was in Death Valley. The desert coyote would follow me. Every morning. I would feed them and I would give them water. I became Sgt. Coyote to my soldiers. I adored the poetry. Good to know freedom my friend.
