Journey

Journey

A Poem by Angie G

You held me down, tied me up, nowhere to go.
You left, a stormy night. Darkness my companion.
I've released my binds. No more despair. The tears have since dried up.
I will not give you the satisfaction of knowing I gave up.
I move on. Head held high. You tied me down. Not anymore.
I own my life. My actions will speak. You hit me hard and fast.
But yet you did not break me. You are not the victor.
A new day has brought new life. I laugh now at your misery.
Pathetic and low, a good description of you.
I have survived, moved on. No binds.
I have succeeded in my journey.
Your journey has just begun.

Actually the first part us about being abused, tied, hit. But I guess the reader can view it as they see it. For some it might be about sex, for others about physical abuse.. thanks for pointing that out though.

I really like this and how it changes pace half way through, is the first part about sex?
