Shattered Dreams

Shattered Dreams

A Poem by Angie G

He came through the night,
Having no right.
A silent voice,
That made no noice.
He covered her mouth to muffle her screams,
He didn't give a damn if he shattered her dreams.
He came and took what wasn't his,
Ending his evil with a hell of a kiss.

She sat in the dark invaded with fear,
Affraid to move incase he was near.
She never spoke of the horrible act,
Knowing they'd judge her, that was a fact.

Many stay silent affraid to feel low,
Tagged as a tease, or even a hoe.
But today she is strong,
Knowing she did nothing wrong.
Now she's not affraid to make a noice,
Now she's me, and I have a voice.

So long ago I remember those screams,
When he came in the dark and shattered my dreams.
