Ebony Head Trip

Ebony Head Trip

A Poem by Anna

My eyes slide gently between
satin sheets of darkness.

Embraced, caressed by the
liquid texture of ebony around me
I have...
slipped into silken thoughts
of things untouched by those before me.

Drawn into a cavern of contentment beyond
the obsidian folds of today's past.

Nights ebon hug holds me close
to the premonitions of sunrise tomorrow.

Quiet complacency comes with the twilight.
I am drawn into picious dreams,
embraced by atramentous words
that flow in rivers of nigrescent ink.

They are mine to catch in nets of
unsaid things, and lay in form before you.

So that you may...soak, in with
your eyes the sable images of me.

Thanks for rattling my brain. I confess to taking it easy for too long but with your poem my brain is reawakened through uncommon words and yet soothed by transluscent imagery. Poetry is art!
