Just A Waltz

Just A Waltz

A Poem by Emmy

It's all just a waltz,
I'm all turned around.

You hand me a drink,
and say "lose the frown".

The room is twirling,
I can't feel the ground.

We raised our glasses,
the wine stained my gown.

I could go somewhere.
I'd never be found.

This waltz is over,
and I'm leaving town.

A waltz and escape. I did like this poem. Sometime better to run than find a dead-end. Thank you Emmy for sharing the amazing poetry.

This made the reader think and truly ask questions that find the poem more and more interesting.
This poem was very unique and sentimental.
I could feel the emotion rippling off of this poem.
You are a very talented author/writer.
Keep up the great work!

Interesting story line, but it seems stunted by the rhyme? Perhaps explore longer, lusher lines to expand upon the intriguing imagery you have here.
