My Arcadia

My Arcadia

A Poem by nathan
"

there is none

"
For the life of me,
if only the sands of time
could be recalled,
To once more bask in the glow of her gaze,
To lie in the warmth of her smile
on those moody afternoons the sun snailed across the sky
when my thoughts eloped hand in hand
with the spartan clouds,
and I remained alone to ponder the unknown.
To grace the pearly shores of her love
and save myself from her waves.
I would give life and limb
for one more day;
My Arcadia.

Oh how lovely... i like this a lot and its structure. Very nice ending too. I love these lines:

"on those moody afternoons the sun snailed across the sky"

"To grace the pearly shores of her love"
