Break Me

Break Me

A Poem by nathan

Break me...

Here I am
Lord break me.
Break these legs
that constantly run away.
Break this neck that won't yield to your way.

Here I am Lord,
break me,
The will that won't
bend,
the back that won't genuflect- too
break them Lord

Blind my eyes
to everything but your face
Deafen my ears to all but your voice,
Let each word apart from Your grace
break upon my tongue like shards of glass
leaving me dumb.

Here I am Lord
Break me.

Break me till I am a quivering mass at your feet,
And when you're done,
break my heart as well,
break it with all that makes yours swell.
But leave my hands I pray,
leave them with enough strength
to cling to You!
