Let it Rain!!

The clouds grew darker,

Leaves shyly sprouting in a greener hue,

Drenched in love,

With the sparkling touch of romantic dew.

Everything is beautiful,

With the rhythm of falling drops,

Grooving in my heart and brain,

Wait, before the sun peeks in,

Let it pour, let it rain!!!

Usually the sight of the sun emerging after a storm is depicted in a positive way. For the speaker here the reverse is true. I guess love can make any weather seem delightful.

Don't let shine in yet! There is beauty in the pellets of falling rain, so much so, that one's heart can beat to it's rhythm... and the eyes can then open and see the earth greener. A short but lovely poem using our senses to open up to the glories of nature. Well done!
