Bold

Bold

A Poem by Anusree
"

a poem which tells about two orphans who are bold to face this cruel world

"
I am thin,
i am black
and i have no home .

I sleep in parks
or outside shops,
until someone rides me away.

My mother
left me as i am a burden,
my father-
i don't even know who he is.

I have a sister
a small pretty sister
she is thin,
but fair,unlike me.

We sleep together every night,
i hold her close
to stop her from shivering.

Last night,
we slept in the railways,
nobody was around
except for the flies !

All of a sudden
i hear some men
walk close to us
i got scared
and slept off.

When i woke up,
maybe a few hours later,
i found my sister missing!!

i searched here,
i  searched there,
i searched everywhere,
but she wasn't there !

Then i heard her cry
from the station officer's room..
i rushed to the door,
it was locked
but i knew she was in there
and she needed my help !

..i heard a manly voice
from inside
telling her to shut up
and listen to him

I became violent
my eyes were filled with tears...
all i could do
is shout and cry for help !

No on came
there was no hope
i banged my head against the walls...
as i fainted hearing my sister's cry ...

The sun came out,
i can hear the trains come and go,
i jumped up
in terror..
where was she?
where was my sister ??

As i looked straight
near the tracks..
there was a crowd.....
i rushed
and pushed the people aside...
only to see my dead sister !

I couldn't cry..
there was no tears left...
A few hours before,
 i stood on the tracks
waiting for the next train....
Then i took a step back ...
and decided
that i'm going to take revenge..
not by diying but
by living up
against this cruel world
filled with cowards
who are scared to face life !
