i choose salty air

i choose salty air

A Poem by Diego Jara
"

Reflecting on Life while trying to catch my reflection in wild, wavy westcoast waters.

"
i Never learned to fear turbulence,
because it is in fact,
all ive experienced...
such is life,
i chose to accept it.
i never understood the reasoning behind puting up walls,
where hiding comfortably in the shade id surely witness my intentions fade; big mouth shut and my Soul
quickly withering
into a
silent
decay.

i choose salty air and sunny days!
even at night,
id choose the thundering of
crashing waves over the
numbing silence of this cave;
All i do is sway and sing
and hope and pray
that if you hear its echo,
youll remember my voice
and our Love and youll smile
and sing along
with me
if only for another little while.
