Aris

Aris

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

Aris and Andrew it is with all the love in my heart I grant you both my blessing and that of my ancestors. May it prove to be enough."

"

aris

Friends who played with you on birthdays

through all the laughter and the tears

Alongside whom, your gifts would bloom

with secrets shared over the years

The nights you cried yourself to sleep

for the things that I'll never know

I'm sure you knew, as I did too

time would pass and you would grow

You've made it through adolescence

finished college, then got engaged

I'll cry the day, you go away

and lament on just how I've aged

I will be right there beside you

proudly walking you down the aisle

Then let you go, face all a-glow

father charmed by his daughters smile

Aris Graduating from college

Aris and Andrew this morning after a year apart. My daughters Prince Charming may they have a fairy tale life together.

10/23/14

one of lifes great treasures.Walking them down the aisle

The day finally came and the tears flowed.

"Aris and Andrew it is with all the love in my heart I grant you both my blessing and that of my ancestors. May it be enough"
My daughter Aris's life is about to change. Her fiance is arriving home tonight on a flight from Afghanistan. I am going to be the man who walks her down the aisle fulfilling her childhood dream of getting married to prince charming. Has it really been that long?

the greatest treasure in the world is true love
hold to that miracle burning in your still wanting
still hungry for simpler things as to never forgotten
by what life offers love

Thank you I do I truly do love her .I will cry when she goes away.
By, your every word, I can feel the bond between you and your daughter. What can have more blithe than recounciling. Your daughter is going to have, that. I can assess, her happiness. Because, I too have many experiences of that.

You,would have employed much effort, because for the reason being, the love of being in relationships, can't even be expressed by words.

I loved this poem.

I can see, that you are having a dilemma. That whether to be happy, that she met her fiance, after a long time or be sad, because she is going to embark on the new journey of life, without you.

Well, you have every right, to be in that sort of dilemma.

I think, Aris is lucky, to have a father like you.

My best wishes,
Devanshu

Thank you it is a great thing to have a daughter even greater to be a father
I Read somewhere that a father said "My son is mine, till he gets a wife but my daughter is mine till the end of my life". Just like this line, you have described in this poem, a father daughter bond, a relationship as beautiful and magical as mother son bond. Also, its effect is heightened if you read this poem keeping in mind the Indian culture, where there are patriachs who cause female infoeticides and also fathers who cherish the dream of their daughter's marriage, even save for it, for day their daughters leave his house forever. Yet another masterpiece sir. Thanks for sharing it.
