Starring Out at the OceanA Poem by Luna
Previous Version This is a previous version of Starring Out at the Ocean.
Starring out at the ocean,
An ocean the richest color of blues and greens, The light house reflects it light, Making each wave shine. Starring out at the ocean, Longing to see your ship roll in, The ship that holds my heart, The ship that holds my love. Starring out at the ocean, I watch the tides, Imagine seeing your ship roll in on one, Seeing your face light up when you see mine. Starring out at the ocean, A ship comes into view on the horizon, The light house lighting it's way As it rolls into port. Starring out at the ocean, Tears roll down my face, I drop the letter into the ocean, The ocean that stole my love away. Starring out at the ocean, My heart goes numb, The water washes me clean of all feeling, As the writing on the letter disappears. Starring out at the ocean, I think about you, My only love, Eternally rolling in the ocean current. Diving into the ocean, I sink to the bottom, Meeting you there, My mind thinking of only you. Drifting to the bottom of the ocean, I smile as I draw in my last breath, The salty water going into my lungs, I will soon be with you. Starring out at the ocean, Your ghostly hand clasped in mind, We watch the waves together, Never apart, in love forever. Starring out at the ocean, An ocean the richest color of blues and greens, The light house reflects it light, Making each wave shine. © 2010 LunaReviews
