I See a Dog

I See a Dog

A Poem by Ashish

I see a dog with its tail between its legs.

I see a dog with its tail wagging behind its back.

I see a dog scouring garbage for food.

I see a dog rejecting stale food.

I see a dog finding shelter from rain.

I see a dog lying on a couch again.

I see a dog running behind cars.

I see a dog riding in a car.

I see a dog facing the whole world.

I see a dog running circles around its world.

I see a dog who’s born on the streets.

I see a dog who’s only seen treats.

I see a dog doing as it please.

I see a dog being walked on a leash.

I see a dog longing for a modicum of love.

I see a dog wanting to chase some wild doves.

I see a dog finally return to earth.

I see a dog finally return to earth.
