The Cross: The Reminder of God's Love

There's a cross at every church and everywhere,
It helps remind us that Jesus is near.
He died on the cross so we could have life,
His blood was shed for you and He didn't think twice.

He was nailed to the cross by His hands and feet,
Someone who died for us like that should be some one we want to meet.
His blood kept running down His face as He cried out to God,
He stood up for us because He loves us a lot.

The cross is an everyday reminder why we have air in our lungs so we can breathe,
Jesus sacrificed everything He had so we could have the life we have received.
He may have died on the cross but He arose again,
His life was taken so He could take away our sins.

As we look at the cross we should thank Him for the blood He shed,
His unfailing love for us is as pure as the color red.
The cross stands for everything in this world that surrounds us,
It's a symbol of His supernatural powers and His love.

The cross stands for sacrifice and love that Jesus gave,
Without Him we would have never been saved.
Trust in your Lord because He overcame,
He died on the cross and we should always praise His name.

Praise the Lord. Amazing work. He took our sin and sickness on the cross, may the Lord give us grace to remember his sufferings on Calvary daily and thereby lead a Christ centered life.
