What I Do

What I Do

A Poem by ashleymarie

I cut my hair
I cut my thighs

I do not care
I do not lie

I live my life
I live and I'll die

I wallow in strife
I wallow and cry

I sit in bed
I get high

I don't know what's ahead
I don't want to say goodbye

I know that my time will come
I just wish I knew when and why.

Yes, that's how life can go. But 'when' and 'why' is not that important. What counts more is 'how'. How you reach that final point of your life. How you got there. How you will be able to take it.

Most say that the most important thing about that moment is who is around you. While that can make it easier indeed, the final moments are always solitary. What can really help you then is the 'how'.

Just my two cents...
