From the depths of an empty bottle

From the depths of an empty bottle

A Poem by wilting.auburn.roses

A narcoleptic nick into

Punctuated follicles that

Suck down serrated snips

Of oxygen ovulating

Into puffs of wasted potential

Breathe in the formaldehyde

Breathe out the burned pride

Trip over barbed wires

And pry open stitches that

Barricade Monday excuses

The sweet and sour stench

Of promises that went unkept

As soon as they left blistering lips

Drink up the bleached sin

Spit out remnants of heaven
