Temporarily Suspended

Temporarily Suspended

A Poem by Lily E. Lin

Sometimes,
The words slip unbidden from me too fast,
Unwanted garbling at the tip, my mind still in exclusion,
Confusion reigning the shifting iron gates
Un-filtering thought and talk

Sometimes,
In the proceedings of the world's pace,
I lose my footing, such that
The foot in mouth inverts, and
My mental process flips to off,
Temporarily suspended

The like this. It is short and sweet. Slightly humors, and I believe everyone has felt this way at one point or another.

Thanks so much for sharing.

About
