A Kiss is just a kiss

A Kiss is just a kiss

A Poem by Laura E. Aranda

"

A kiss is just a kiss

Kinda like that hair is just  a strand

A strand of happiness found outside this hand

A kiss is just a kiss

A hug is just a hug

But with whom will you truly dance

Whose reflection will I see in your glance

A hug is just a hug

A whisper is just a whisper

But it is not in my ear

I can't go on with this kind of fear

A whisper is just a whisper

A farewell is but only a farewell

I can't say it will be best

But this has to be put to the test

A farewell is but only a farewell

I simply LOVE the way this poem subtly describes the importance of each gesture...we might consider them normal but in fact, it is hard to realise how much actions can express....a beautiful and clever piece indeed!

Liked this poem. Every act of emotion has its purpose

There was a time when I saw a woman I was in love give another man a hug and a kiss as she was returning from lunch. I felt jealous, and I did not know what to do. She had said she was leaving her husband... :)
