Eavesdropping

Eavesdropping

A Poem by Laura E. Aranda
"

Imagine a tall red headed girl quite beautiful with her head thrown back listening to an orchestra play as she hides in the shadows......

"

I, the musically uninclined

Stand relishing every poignant note letting it fill my very being

Behind the curtains of obscurity

As the orchestra encores again...and yet one more time

Responding to the crowds overwhelming applause

``````````````````````````````````````
OR
I stand letting it overwhelm my mind
Stand relishing every poignant note
Letting every chord fill my very being
It quenchs my thirsty soul
Overwhelm me, pure music of the night
My curtain of obscurity cloaks me as I listen
Mind soaring as the orchestra responds to the crowd
(read each lines first word descending)
The first version, definitely.
I like the first version in its simplicity (typo=chrowds s/b crowds').
Satine
i enjoy them both- though i do think the second stands better on it's own, but together (especially reading the first of each line) they speak volumes- very enjoyable
