![]() Sun's Light DeclineA Poem by Robert
Dear Love, I cannot speak to you, no,
There’s no more time, for this time I must go. To stars beyond sight, beyond space and time, To places unknown, where sun’s light decline. For discovery’s sake, I implore my good cause, My Mind can’t fathom a new, unthinkable “Oz.” Where the great fields grow, wild with crop, Where sea’s dark abyss is a mere blissful drop. I lift my eyes to see worlds colliding, They drift down slowly to bottom feeders gliding. In this fantasy world, there is no death,
Life is unending, with every waking breath. Crippling Fear drowns in my ocean’s Serenity, My Darkness dies, it will never overshadow me. Please know, Dear Love, this place isn’t you, You saved me from Hell, and that much is true. I hope, Dear Love, you could be here to see, All of this world’s beauty shining down unto me. Maybe in a different place, in a different time, We could meet again, where the sun’s light decline. Dear Love, I cannot speak to you, no, For you lie still, and tomorrow I must go. © 2014 RobertReviews
