Love and Hate

Love and Hate

A Poem by Alexander W. Quinn
"

A "Valentine's" poem from a few years back, right after my first love departed.

"

Love & Hate

Hanging in the balance

of all that I once knew,

thwarted by the blinding light

     of all consuming darkness.

Lost to what I hoped to find

     and starving from it’s plenty,

cast aside in your embrace

     and frozen in the fires.

All I have is all you’ve got,

     (regurgitated dreams),

my cries of silence ringing clear,

why won’t you let me be?

So with this vow I bind us part,

     unholy matrimony,

love and hate can be our grace,

     a grave so welcome calling.

I liked. You need work on remembering to make the font bigger. It might help bring more people in to read it! Thank you for sharing. Have a great day!
