Light of Hope

Light of Hope

A Poem by DelaCruz
"

When you seemed lost and afraid, there's this tiny little spark that will guide you. And that spark, is hope.

"
In the snowy fields of depression and sorrow,
I notice that the temperature to be colder and lower,
and I soon gather some small branches and a pair of stones,
there you go, a small fire of hope is born.

Its fire is about to spread hope and happiness,
the one that would shine through the infinite space of darkness,
a spark that will give countless of good memories,
but the cold air of fear and the shadows of despair reluctantly appears,
trying to kill that tiny spark of hope and shred it to bits.

I'm guarding it with all my might,
everyday and everynight, I'll never leave it out of my sight.
Although I start to feel the numbness of my fingers,
the memories that I hatdly remember,
for the sake of hope, I will never surrender.

It's getting colder and colder here, no?
But do you see the light that I see?
Right there in the middle of nowhere,
Its burning heat of happiness, I feel it I swear.
I will cling onto it.
The light of hope and the amber of ashes, I feel it.
