A Distorted Perfection

A Distorted Perfection

A Poem by DelaCruz
"

The world was once a beautiful and peaceful place. But right now, is it still the same as before? I personified the earth as a woman where her charming looks and dignity destroyed harshly by humankind

"
Your eyes that spark like fireflies,
Flying in a graceful manner up in the dark skies,
Hoping to get your attention and see me inside,
but unfortunately you're looking in the wrong way at the other side.

You see tons of people trying to slaughter each other,
Trying to suppress and ask the mass of destruction to decipher.
Everyone's looking at each other's eyes not knowing when to surrender.
Look at it carefully my dear, they're trying to unleash a beast of calamity that will wreck havoc and disaster.

Am I only the one to see your worth?
Your pretty scapes and finest jewels,
Your tears of lucites and majestic grandeur,
And especially your sweet-scented fragrance of love and serenity.
They don't deserve someone like you,
and yet you still give them a smile on your face.

I'm right over here, why can't you see me?
Look, I'm doing everything to make you, my world, pretty again,
while those saboteurs still loitering and continuously spreading black paint,
and yet you still accept them.
You are once a epitome of elegance and kindness,
and now you've been contaminated by their sickness.
