Sixteen

Sixteen

A Poem by Blue Poppy
"

Just a memory

"

Do you remember the feeling of excitement:

The gooseflesh forming on your flesh

Not due to cold but to adrenaline

The dancing beat of your heart at night

            A ballerina in your chest

The tickled smile that rises to your lips

Not forced just playful and intense

The immortal feel of humanity

No one can stop you, nothing

                        Oh, to be sixteen!
